Five Ways to Trigger Presets in Solaro Systems
Xilica Solaro offers multiple methods for activating system presets, giving you flexibility in how you control your audio environment.
1. Software Control
Trigger presets directly from Xilica Designer:
Use the toolbar dropdown menu in Design Mode or Online Control Mode
Parameters affected by the preset will display a red halo
Clear the halo by selecting a different preset
2. Audio Schematic Integration
Create preset triggers within your signal flow:
Add an Action Trigger Module to your design
Connect it to a GPIO Output Module
Use controls like Momentary Buttons to activate presets
3. XTouch or Lucia Control
Create custom control interfaces:
Open the XTouch Panel in Design Mode
Drag preset buttons from the Component Library
Customize button appearance for intuitive control
Test functionality in Online Control Mode
4. Scheduled Automation
Program time-based preset changes:
Access the Project Scheduler
Drag presets from the Component Library to your schedule
Synchronize the DSP clock with your computer
Set one-time or recurring schedules (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly)
Schedule events up to the year 2064
5. Third-Party Control via API
Integrate with external control systems:
Use the Xilica API command:
PRESET[preset_number]
Establish a TCP connection to the QR1 device (default port: 10007)
Send preset commands using a terminal program like Hercules
To verify network settings for API control, hover over the QR1 icon in Network View or double-click the device to check IP address and port configuration.
