Programming the Xilica Lucia Wall Panel Controller
The Xilica Lucia is a simple, single-gang wall panel control with an OLED screen and a push-button rotary knob. It offers 32 menus for various controls such as volume, mute, source selection, and preset triggering.
Programming Lucia
From the Project View window, drag a Lucia from the Component Library onto the design screen. With a single-click on the device icon, you can edit its properties in the Object Property window on the right side of the screen. Double click the Lucia module to view the 32 menus. With both the Lucia and audio design windows in view, ctrl-click on the parameter in your audio design that you wish to control from Lucia. The parameter will highlight yellow. Now drag that parameter onto your desired Lucia menu item. With that menu selected, you can edit its properties, including labeling, minimum and maximum values, and step sizes (depending on the parameter type).
Programming a Preset
With a Lucia on the Project View screen, double-click on the device. With its menus screen in focus, the Component Library on the left will show all previously saved presets. Choose an available Preset and simply drag it onto one of the 32 Lucia menus. The menu will turn green and with that item selected, you can edit its properties, including the menu item name.
Stacking Like Parameters
Like parameters (for example, faders with faders, buttons with buttons) can be stacked within one Lucia Item menu. To stack parameters, simply ctrl-click and drag like parameters one-by-one, or as a group, onto the common menu Item. With that menu selected, you can view all the stacked parameters in the Object Property window.
Custom Splash Image
A custom 112x112 pixel PNG can be loaded to the Lucia as a custom splash image. With the Lucia highlighted, click the "Select…" under the Label section of the Lucia's Object Properties. Navigate to and select a 112x112 PNG file. After the program is loaded and online, the Lucia will now display this custom PNG image on its splash screen.
Device Password
To enable security on the Lucia, simply enter a 4 digit numeric PIN in the Lucia's Object Property window under Panel Password Information. The user will be prompted to enter this PIN before being able to access the Lucia's menu items.
Device Settings
To access device settings on the Lucia hardware, from the splash screen hold the rotary-encoder button down for approximately 3 seconds until the Settings screen appears. The Settings screen provides information on firmware, MAC address, device name, DHCP, IP address, screen saver, and item menu time-out.
