Release Notes for Designer 4.9

Edited

Supported Device Firmware Version:

  • Solaro DSP — 4.9.0

  • Gio USB — 4.9.0

  • Gio Bluetooth — 4.9.0

  • Gio XLR — 4.6.1

  • Lucia — 4.8.1

  • XTouch Control — 4.9.0

Introducing

  • HTTP support for third-party device control, designed specifically for the Sennheiser SSCv2 media control protocol.

  • Automatic Lua driver downloads when you first launch Xilica Designer—eliminating the frustration of missing drivers when opening projects. New drivers appear in the Component Library after downloading completes. Monitor download status in the Lua Editor Device Driver List.

Refined

  • Added Solaro 3rd-Party Control API support for Gio Bluetooth text and status fields (Bluetooth Name, Connection Status, Host Mac, Streaming Status)

  • Added Solaro 3rd-Party Control API support for Gio USB text and status fields (USB Device Name, Connection Status)

  • Improved Solaro QR1 temperature notification system—now showing the fan indicator at 50°C instead of a yellow temperature warning, providing clearer status information when the low-speed fan activates.

Resolved

  • Removed unnecessary warning messages on XTouch for panel file mismatches between XTouch and Solaro Controller.

  • Updated legacy Xilica part numbers in Designer BOM export.

  • Fixed an issue where Lua device controls incorrectly appeared in Xilica Design Project view component library.

  • Eliminated outdated warning messages for main board BIOS on the Solaro Device Option Configuration tab, as all new firmware now includes BIOS updates.

Important Notes

  • Solaro QR1 or FR1-D may enter a boot cycle if Dante is configured with a static IP address without connection to a Dante network. Always ensure the Solaro device connects to a Dante network during startup.

  • Installing more than 4 XC-SUB cards in the FR1/FR1-D may cause DSP boot-cycling.

  • When changing a Solaro DSP device's sampling rate between 48K and 96K, Dante View will not immediately update the I/O configuration. Restart Xilica Designer to refresh the Dante I/O display.
