Gio Bluetooth Configuration Settings

Within Xilica Designer, you can customize your Gio Bluetooth device by navigating to Network View → Device Setup (double-click the device icon):

Essential Settings

  • Radio Enabled — Toggles the discoverability of Gio-BT

  • Bluetooth Name — The name shown when pairing with mobile devices (default: 'Xilica Gio-BT-[device MAC address]')

  • Connection Mode — Choose whether previously connected devices can reconnect automatically or if re-pairing is required

  • PIN Code Enable — Turn security PIN requirement on/off

  • PIN Code — Set your custom 4-digit security code

Bridging Mode Options

  • Call Only (HFP) — Streams call audio only using mono channel for voice communication

  • Media Only (A2DP + AVRCP) — Streams high-quality stereo audio from media applications while blocking call audio

  • Call & Media (HFP + A2DP + AVRCP) — Allows both call and media audio streaming

Hardware Controls

  • Pairing Button Enabled/Disabled — Activates/deactivates the front panel capacitive touch pairing button

  • Bluetooth LED Enabled/Disabled — Controls whether the front panel LED indicator is active

Connection Management

  • Clear Pairing History — Removes all stored device connection information

  • Disconnect Host — Terminates any active connection

Note: The pairing function can also be controlled through a third-party system via the Xilica API.
