Exporting System Programming from Xilica Hardware

Edited

Retrieving Project Files from Hardware

To export the complete system programming (.pjxml Project File) from hardware:

  1. Go to Network View

  2. Double-click the master DSP device

  3. Select the General tab

  4. Click "Download Project Backup File"

Important Notes About Downloaded Files

The project file downloaded directly from the master DSP only contains the original configuration as it was initially loaded. It does not include any parameter adjustments made during system operation.

Preserving Current Settings

To capture the current runtime parameter settings:

  1. Download and open the project file (.pjxml)

  2. Click "Load Design to Device(s)"

  3. Uncheck "Load to device" under all Project Devices

  4. Complete the load to synchronize hardware settings with your project file

  5. Click "Go Back to Design Mode"

  6. Save the file to preserve the current parameter settings

Master DSP Configuration

When loading a project file to Xilica hardware, Designer automatically saves the project file to the master DSP in your system. The master DSP is the device with Project Scheduler enabled.

If no device has been designated as master:

  1. In Project View, single-click on an FR1 or QR1 device

  2. In the Object Property menu (right side), locate Project System Component

  3. Enable Project Scheduler for this device

Note that only the most recently loaded project file is saved to the device, overwriting any previously loaded files.
