Updating XC-SUB Firmware

The XC-SUB is a USB audio option card installed in Solaro QR1 processors. Xilica Designer handles the firmware update, you just need to select the firmware version and update the device.

1. Open Xilica Designer and connect to your system

2. In Network View, ensure the latest firmware package is available:

   • Go to Device Firmware Manager and download the current firmware if prompted

3. Right-click on the QR1 device tile in Network View

4. Select "I/O Card Update (All)"

Xilica Designer will:

• Automatically detect all installed XC-SUB cards

• Identify the hardware version of each card

• Apply the appropriate firmware version

• Always use "I/O Card Update (All)" rather than attempting to manually select a firmware version. This prevents compatibility issues and ensures each card receives its correct update.

• Contact Xilica support before starting if you are unsure whether the update is needed. Reach out to support@xilica.com — the team will confirm the update is required and guide you through the process. This helps avoid unnecessary changes.

• The XC-SUB firmware update is separate from the main Solaro device firmware update and from any Dante firmware update. Each has its own update procedure
