Resolving Boot Issues on Solaro DSP Devices

Edited

If your Solaro QR1 or FR1 is caught in a boot loop, follow this troubleshooting guide to identify and resolve the issue.

Identifying a Boot Loop

During normal startup:

  • The blue Operate LED will flash slowly (located on the back panel of FR1 or front panel of QR1)

  • After approximately 30 seconds, this LED should become solid

  • If the device continuously restarts before completing initialization, it's in a boot loop

Troubleshooting Steps

Step 1: Check Dante Network Connection

If your device has a Dante port:

  • Ensure it's physically connected to a DHCP network

  • A known issue occurs when a Dante port with static IP addressing becomes disconnected

Step 2: Remove IO Cards

  • Power down the device

  • Remove all IO cards from the DSP frame

  • Attempt to restart the device

  • If successful, reinsert cards one at a time to identify the problematic component

If these steps don't resolve the issue, contact your local Xilica reseller or distributor for additional support.
